Andrew works within the Florey Institute, utilising data from the Australian Stroke Clinical Registry (AuSCR) to improve outcomes following stroke. By trade, Andrew is a Physiotherapist and has worked in various diverse locations including in the community treating National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) patients suffering from Stroke, MS, Spinal Cord Injuries, Acquired Brain Injuries, and other neurological conditions. He has also previously worked in public hospitals, elite sport, and in the aged care sector. Andrew continues to run a mobile Physiotherapy business located in Sydney and has lectured Physiotherapy students for several years. 

Andrew has recently completed a Masters in Public Health at the University of NSW (UNSW, 2019) with a particular focus in sports injury prevention, which yielded one publication in an international journal. He began his PhD at Sydney University with a focus on injury prevention and the epidemiology of Football (soccer) injuries in October 2020.

Andrew still enjoys a game of football, running, bushwalking, and is trying to get half-decent at playing the guitar! However, his three young kids have other ideas and are now filling up his social calendar.
