Nick Farland

Nick is currently Behaviour Change Manager at the Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC), where he encourages the use of behavioural insights to assist behaviour change and/or reinforcement.

He has two decades of experience in marketing communications consultancies and a further two decades within client organisations influencing product/service design, processes, policies, environmental design and communications. This has included alcohol moderation, smoking cessation, road safety, disaster preparedness, family and sexual violence and injury prevention.

The immediate past Chair of the New Zealand Social Marketing Network and current committee member, Nick is also on the Steering Committee of the Behavioural Insights Community of Practice.

He’s a keen gardener, Wellington representative Masters hockey player (gracefully retired) and cancer survivor. He’s kept honest by his two adult daughters and relatively new life partner.
