Ian Civil is a Vascular and Trauma Surgeon working at Auckland City Hospital as Clinical Director for the Trauma Service. Up until recently he was the Clinical Director for the NZ National Trauma Network. Ian was a founding member of the Australasian Trauma Society and served as President from 2011-2013. He is an Associate Editor for Traffic Injury Prevention and one of the Editors for INJURY. Ian is Professor of Surgery at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at the University of Auckland.
