Dr Catherine Niven

Dr Catherine Niven is an early career injury prevention researcher at the Australian Centre for Health Services Innovation, Queensland University of Technology. She is a lawyer and has a PhD in public health with expertise in consumer product safety. Catherine is an active member of the multi-agency Consumer Product Injury Research Advisory Group which identifies injury issues and prevention strategies associated with unsafe consumer products.

 

She has over a decade of legal, policy, compliance and strategic roles with the Queensland Government gaining a broad range of experience from managing significant legislative projects, navigating Cabinet and Parliamentary processes, coordinating legal services, and representing the Government on a wide range of working parties and management committees.
