Stacey Pidgeon

Stacey is the National Manager of Research and Policy with Royal Life Saving Society – Australia.

Stacey’s background is in health promotion and injury prevention, with her field of expertise in drowning prevention. Stacey has conducted a range of drowning related research, analysis and program evaluation in Australia and New Zealand, her areas of interest include diverse populations, youth and the impact of social determinants on injury and public health outcomes.

Stacey holds a Bachelor Health Science, majoring in Health Promotion and Psychology (AUT, NZ) and a Master of Public Health (University of Auckland, NZ). Stacey is currently undertaking a PhD at James Cook University focusing on drowning prevention among high-risk populations in Australia. Before moving to Australia from New Zealand, Stacey previously held roles with Drowning Prevention Auckland (formerly WaterSafe Auckland) and Auckland Regional Public Health Service.
